Job Description

V3 Consulting Engineers is seeking to appoint a dynamic, results-driven, and professionally registered Business Unit Manager to lead and manage its Northern Cape Business Unit based in Kimberley.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced professional with strong leadership, technical, financial, and business development capabilities within the engineering and built environment sector.

  • Manage the overall operations and profitability of the Northern Cape Business Unit.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams and manage project delivery.
  • Drive business development and client relationship management.
  • Ensure financial sustainability and effective budget management.
  • Manage contracts, risk, compliance, and quality systems.
  • Oversee project implementation and technical delivery.
  • Mentor staff and promote skills development.
  • Support strategic growth initiatives within the business unit.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BSc Degree or relevant qualification in Engineering (BEng / BTech Engineering) OR
  • Degree in the Built Environment field OR
  • Qualification in Project Management.
Ideal / Advantageous Qualifications
  • Postgraduate qualification in the Built Environment.
  • Honours Degree in Engineering.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Project or Programme Management.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering OR
  • Master's Degree in Business Leadership (MBL).
Professional Registration(s)
  • ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer or Professional Technologist OR
  • SACPCMP registration as a Professional Project Manager OR
  • Relevant professional registration within the Built Environment sector.
Years of Relevant Experience
  • 8-10 years' experience as a Senior Engineer, Project Manager, Senior Technologist, or within a Built Environment field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a middle management role.
  • 3-5 years' senior management and people management experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal and people management skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Enthusiastic about improving the safety performance of site operations.
