Job Description

Media Xpose is looking for a talented and driven Business Journalist to join our Johannesburg editorial team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business, finance, and economic trends, with the ability to produce engaging, accurate, and timely content across digital and print platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Research, write, and publish high-quality business and financial news articles
  • Cover corporate news, industry trends, economic developments, and market insights
  • Conduct interviews with business leaders, analysts, and industry experts
  • Generate story ideas and contribute to editorial planning meetings
  • Ensure content is accurate, well-researched, and meets editorial standards
  • Meet strict deadlines and work in a fast-paced newsroom environment
  • Collaborate with editors, designers, and digital teams to optimise content performance
REQUIREMENTS
  • Diploma or Degree in Journalism, Communications, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 2-4 years' experience as a journalist (business reporting preferred)
  • Strong understanding of business, finance, economics, and corporate sectors
  • Excellent writing, editing, and research skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in digital publishing tools and social media platforms
  • Strong interviewing and networking skills
