Business Development Manager
Job Description
We are looking for a client focused Business Development Manager to cultivate new opportunities and deliver exceptional value to our customers. This will be based at our Cape Town Branch at Airport city.
Education- Matric
- 1 year Sales and Marketing related qualification at NQF level 5
- 5 years working experience as a sales representative in a service industry of which at least last 3 consecutive years were in the clearing and forwarding industry
- Servicing & marketing principles & practice. International Trade principles & practice
- External business environment. Company service charge rates
- Tariff calculation concepts
- Company terms of payment
- Computer literacy(MS Office Package)
- Carrier & depot conditions of trade
- National currencies and international codes. INCO Terms
- Verbal communication - advanced
- Business opportunism. Presentation & Negotiation
- Client/service orientation. Situation analysis & problem solving
- Judgment & decision making. Creative & innovative thinking
- Interpersonal sensitivity
- Estimate and pricing analysis and knowledge
- Discipline in maintaining required weekly call ratio
- Discipline in acquiring quality not quantity client base
- Customer service orientation - Able to handle a demanding customer environment.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Dynamic self-starter that works independently.
- Ability to handle pressure.
- Can communicate within the team and contribute to the overall success of the team.
- Adaptable as this is a constantly changing environment.
- Acquire New Business for both Air and Sea.
- Facilitate processing of credit application
- Implementation (New and existing client)
- Client Servicing
- Record client information
- Report on Sales Activities
- Cost freight movements and prepare service estimatesComply with the requirements of the quality management system
