Location: Rosslyn,Gauteng,South AfricaEckraal Quarries, based in Rosslyn has a vacancy for a: Boilermaker # Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Requirements Matric / Grade 12. Boilermaker trade test certificate of competency (red seal) Minimum 5 years'+ experience as a plant boilermaker within the mining environment Coded welder certificate will be advantageous. English proficiency Driver's licence Knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act Medically fit Must be able to work independently or in a team Computer skills would be an added advantage Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines # Duties and responsibilities (not limited to): Manufacture and construct steel structural frames, bins, chute, walkways, stairs, pipes, and flanges Repair fixed plant bins and chutes with liner plates and repair trackless mobile machine bins and buckets Make up new pipes (reduced and bends) with flanges Conduct gas equipment inspections daily and fill in monthly legal registers Be actively involved in plant breakdowns and maintenance throughout the mine Perform any additional work that might be required by management Mentor apprentices Pro-actively support and participate in workshop safety, health and environmental initiatives Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the workplace Manage and maintain tools Work overtime when required, provided such a requirement is reasonable and within the law Ensure safe work practices and compliance with all SHE and MHSA legislation Report faulty equipment and unsafe conditions Ensure that safety rules and procedures are adhered to, according to the rules and regulations of the workshop and mine Perform other maintenance actions, following checklists Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment # Please submit the following documents to apply:Please upload the following documents in one file with the application form to the right.
