What you will be doing- Lead, mentor, and manage BI Analysts and Developers, fostering technical excellence and collaboration.
- Manage team capacity, workload, and project timelines to ensure timely delivery of BI initiatives.
- Conduct performance reviews, one-on-ones, and career development discussions with team members.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of BI reports, dashboards, and analytical tools.
- Define and enforce best practices for data visualisation, dashboard design, and ensure data product quality and accuracy.
- Lead data modelling efforts (semantic layer) and align technical strategies with other engineering leads.
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and robust analytical solutions.
- Drive the organization-wide adoption of self-service BI and clearly communicate data insights to non-technical audiences.
- 5+ years in BI/Data Analysis, including experience in leadership/senior/mentoring roles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, able to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in leading BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI) and expert SQL skills with complex datasets.
- Strong understanding of dimensional modelling (Kimball) and data warehouse concepts, plus experience with semantic layers and calculated metrics.
- Passion for using data to drive business decisions, with basic proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., Python).
