Job Description
Our client is seeking a Banqueting Coordinator responsible for planning, organising, and executing events across the Conference Centre and Dining Rooms. The role involves client liaison, team management, event coordination, stock control, financial administration, and ensuring a world class hospitality experience.
Responsibilities- Oversee conference centre operations (capacity 196 guests)
- Manage dining room operations (capacity 196 guests)
- Lead and supervise waiters, bartenders, and ad hoc staff
- Ensure 5 star service standards across all food & beverage operations
- Manage bar operations for special evening events
- Welcome guests and oversee smooth flow of events across dining rooms and common areas
- Act as primary point of client liaison, managing all event requirements
- Coordinate room layouts, equipment setup, and documentation requests
- Oversee event execution, ensuring seamless guest experience from start to finish
- Maintain furniture, equipment, and linen; report and follow up on maintenance issues
- Oversee food and beverage service excellence and quality control
- Manage operational costs and provide guidance to clients where required
- Ensure effective use of multimedia/AV systems in conference environments
- Demonstrate strong leadership, initiative, and attention to detail in all operations
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction and high end hospitality experience
- Degree or Diploma in Hospitality or a related field
- Tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage, or Hotel Management
- Proven experience in food and beverage management
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
