Asbestos Operations Manager - London
Job Description
This well-established national environmental consultancy, who provides a range of asbestos, health & safety, and fire risk services to clients throughout the UK. They are currently recruiting for an experience and commercial focused Asbestos Operations Manager based in and around the London area. The successful candidate will hold the P402/3/4, extensive experience working within the asbestos industry and will be well-rehearsed in over-seeing and managing site staff and asbestos contracts. Applications from Essex, Kent, Hertfordshire, and the surrounding areas will be considered.
Qualifications & Experience:- Will hold the P402/3/4 asbestos qualifications as a minimum.
- Must come from a strong asbestos management / consultancy background.
- A good working knowledge of asbestos management and legislation.
- Experience working in an operations management role within the asbestos industry.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in using the Microsoft Package.
- Overseeing and supporting the asbestos team/staff.
- Managing and delegating work as necessary.
- Getting involved with Quality Control, Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with legislation and company requirements.
- Training of staff and appraisals.
- Auditing and Inspection of work carried out.
- Controlling the financial side of the business.
- Enable the smooth running of the business.
- Attending meetings when required and dealing with any issues that may arise.
- Build and maintain a professional relationship with the company's large portfolio of clients.
- Ensuring that all contracts are completed to clients specifications.
