26CUPE-ESL10 - Temporary ESL-LINC Instructor
Job Description
The UGDSB and St. George's Centre for ESL are seeking a temporary part time ESL/LINC Instructor for the non credit adult ESL program. This position is funded jointly by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development.
LocationSt. George's Centre (on site, in person instruction)
Hours and PayFull time equivalent 5 hours 20 minutes per week. Hourly pay rate $36.49 - $44.84 per hour, plus applicable vacation pay in accordance with the ESA; wage rate effective September 1, 2025.
ScheduleMonday and Wednesday, 6:20 pm - 9:00 pm (includes PBLA administration time).
Start and End DatesCommencement no sooner than July 6, 2026. Anticipated end date July 29, 2026.
Qualifications- TESL Ontario accreditation in good standing
- Excellent knowledge of the Canadian Language Benchmarks
- Familiarity with LINC curriculum documents
- Knowledge of and experience with Portfolio Based Language Assessment
- Proven ability to develop and deliver a multi level task based curriculum
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Proven commitment to learner success
- Excellent organizational and reporting skills
- Familiarity with Google Classroom is an asset
