JOB DESCRIPTION: An engineering client is seeking to hire an Acoustical Ceiling Installer who is responsible for installing ceiling grid and tile systems on commercial and government projects. This role requires experience with ceiling layout, grid installation, blueprint interpretation, and hands-on construction. The Installer plays a key role in ensuring precision, quality, and safety in all phases of ceiling installation. In this position, you will contribute to our success by completing assignments independently and collaboratively, maintaining project schedules, and delivering craftsmanship that meet company standards. Responsibilities will include: • Read and interpret project blueprints and construction drawings. • Inspect drywall partitions, mechanical mountings, and masonry surfaces for level and plumb using lasers or water levels. • Install support wires for ceiling grid systems. • Hang dry lines to wall molding for guiding main runner placement. • Nail or screw molding to walls and seal joints. • Scribe and cut tile edges to fit walls when molding is not used. • Measure and mark surfaces to lay out ceiling work. • Install acoustical ceiling main runners and cross runners. • Cut tiles for fixtures and borders using hand tools (e.g., keyhole saw). • Work on scaffolding, aerial lifts, ladders, and stilts. • Operate powder actuated tools and lasers. • Perform duties in indoor and outdoor job sites. • Work independently and as part of a team. • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the manager.
