Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef for a luxury private game reserve located in the Sabi Sands. This is an exceptional opportunity for a culinary professional who thrives in a high-end, remote hospitality environment and is committed to delivering outstanding dining experiences.
Salary: Negotiable (Dependent on Experience)
Accommodation: Live-in position
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Head Chef in the daily management of the kitchen
- Ensure the consistent preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety
- Assist with menu planning and development, incorporating fresh and seasonal ingredients
- Manage stock control, ordering, and waste minimisation
- Step into the Head Chef role when required
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a luxury lodge or high-end hospitality environment
- Strong culinary skills with attention to detail and presentation
- Ability to work well under pressure in a remote setting
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Meals provided
