Job Description

Essence of the Job

Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a workshop, including planning, organizing, and supervising staff, ensuring quality repairs, maintaining equipment, managing inventory, and adhering to safety standards, all while meeting production targets and customer deadlines; essentially leading and coordinating all aspects of mechanical repair and maintenance activities within the workshop.

Qualification
  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Registered with Engineers Registration Board Botswana (ERB).
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of 8+ years relevant experience in mechanical environment with 4 years at managerial level.
  • Experience in Mining environment will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with workshop equipment and processes.
  • Understanding of quality control and safety standard.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
  • Proven ability to analyze and solve operational challenges.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
