Overview

We currently have a vacancy for the position of Warehouse Team Leader (Late Shift), based at our Warehouse in the West Rand. Overall purpose of the job: Provide effective team leadership within a designated warehouse section and support daily operations, workload coordination, and achievement of business targets. Ensure operational efficiency, quality standards, and customer requirements are met. This is a late shift position and the candidate must be able to work late shift hours and reside in the West Rand or Soweto.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support a team to meet operational and customer demand.
  • Train, mentor, and guide warehouse staff within area of responsibility.
  • Assist Management to ensure inventory accuracy and correct stock movement recording.
  • Maintain accuracy and functionality of warehouse systems and equipment including scanners, printers and scales.
  • Identify operational or system improvements and recommend solutions.
  • Resolve issues within authority and escalate when necessary.
  • Produce operational reports and productivity statistics as required on consumables, lunch breaks, overpicks, time and attendance.
  • Review ways to reduce waste, idle time, and inefficiencies.
  • Ensure machinery and equipment is maintained and fit for purpose.
  • Ensure staff compliance with health, safety, environmental, and security standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and secure working environment.
  • Support time, attendance, and people management processes.
  • Communicate targets, priorities, and expectations to staff.
  • Monitor performance and report progress to management.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport partners.
  • Participate in stock takes, meetings, and training sessions.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12 (or equivalent) - Essential.
  • Proven experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor in a warehouse environment & experience working late shift or shift hours.
  • 1-2 years' experience in a similar leadership role.
  • Minimum of 2 years' general warehouse experience.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, SAP, Qwix, or similar).
  • Sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
  • Forklift certification (advantageous).
