IntroductionWe are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor based at our Fluidra Pro Center in Durban. The Warehouse Supervisor will report directly to the Warehouse Manager and be key in managing warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with company standards.
Warehouse Operations- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock levels.
- Assist in optimising warehouse layout and organisation for space utilisation.
- Comply with all Safety & Housekeeping standards.
- Monitor turnaround times with regards to picking of sales orders, loading of trucks and the deliveries to all clients.
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse staff to maintain high-performance standards and a positive work environment.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Address any issues or conflicts within the team in a timely and effective manner.
- Conduct regular meetings with all Warehouse staff to ensure sound communication is applied.
- Control and manage all staff's leave in conjunction with the Warehouse Manager and the Company Policy.
- Provide leadership and guidance to warehouse staff, ensuring company policy and procedure adherence.
- Motivate the team to maintain high-performance standards and a positive work environment.
- Assist in coordinating vehicle activities for transportation and delivery.
- Support the development and execution of effective route plans.
- Control all vehicles daily inspections.
- Plan & coordinate all vehicle maintenance according to the service intervals.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Participate in regular inspections and implement measures to promote a safe working environment.
- Conduct weekly/monthly meetings to ensure that all staff are aware of all communication relating to Health & Safety at the Branch.
- National Senior Certificate / Matric / Grade 12 Certificate (Completed)
- Diploma or relevant certification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field would be an advantage.
- Minimum 3 5 years in a similar position.
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or a similar role preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Good knowledge of inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good record keeping work ethic.
- Problem solving mindset.
