Our client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join the Coega, Port Elizabeth team,

• Manage daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Ensure optimal use of freezer space and efficient stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO principles).
• Maintain cold chain integrity at all times.
• Oversee stock control processes, including cycle counts and full stocktakes.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Ensure accurate record keeping using warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Ensure compliance with South African food safety standards (e.g., HACCP).
• Monitor and maintain required temperature ranges for frozen goods.
• Implement and enforce hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Supervise, train, and develop warehouse staff.
• Manage staff scheduling, performance, and discipline.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe operation of equipment (e.g., forklifts in cold environments).
• Coordinate dispatch schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
• Liaise with transport providers and internal departments.
• Optimize workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

• Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Warehouse Management - advantageous.
• Minimum 5-8 years's warehouse experience.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Proven experience in a frozen food or cold storage environment - essential.
• Strong knowledge of cold chain management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Valid driver's licence and own transport.
• Candidate must reside in the Port Elizabeth / Uitenhage area.
