WANTED! Food Safety Team Leader - Cape Town

At HealthSmart, we've been producing nutritious, high-quality food for over 30 years. From our custom-designed Diep River facility, we manufacture health products for South Africa's leading retailers.

We're looking for a Food Safety Team Leader to report into our Technical Manager and play a key role in strengthening our food safety culture and systems.

• Leading and maintaining our FSSC 22000 (v6) Food Safety Management System.
• Driving food safety compliance across production and warehouse teams.
• Managing internal audits, corrective actions and external audit readiness.
• Delivering food safety training of staff and visiting of suppliers.
• Championing continuous improvement, including digital recording and monitoring initiatives

• B Sc in Food Science /B Tech in Food Technology or related field.
• 3-5 years' experience in the food industry (FMCG preferred).
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and FSSC 22000.
• Confident leader who can influence and motivate teams.
