We are seeking a passionate, service-driven and highly organised Vehicle Fleet Manager to oversee and manage a diverse fleet of vehicles within a dynamic operational environment. This role is responsible for ensuring maximum vehicle uptime, workshop efficiency, cost control, and safety compliance while leading and developing a high-performing maintenance team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence and ensuring the fleet consistently meets performance and safety standards.

Ensure optimal vehicle uptime and availability.

Oversee preventative maintenance schedules and repairs.

Manage workshop efficiency and improve turnaround times.

Maintain accurate maintenance records and reporting systems.

Monitor and manage fleet utilisation.

Manage workshop and fleet budgets effectively.

Control maintenance and repair costs.

Monitor parts procurement and inventory management.

Identify cost-saving initiatives without compromising safety or quality.

Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Implement systems to reduce incidents and vehicle downtime.

Maintain fleet roadworthiness and legal compliance standards.

Supervise and support workshop staff.

Drive staff performance, accountability, and skills development.

Conduct performance evaluations and ongoing training.

Support overall operational efficiency through reliable fleet performance.

Contribute indirectly to positive guest experiences by ensuring safe and dependable transport services.

Motor Mechanic

Computer literacy (basic Excel, email, and maintenance systems)

Minimum 5-8 years mechanical experience

At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role

Proven experience in fleet management

Experience in remote or lodge-based operations advantageous
