Duties & Responsibilities- Supervise the maintenance and repair functions of the complex, ensuring work is of a high quality standard and completed on time.
- Order and control machine parts and spares.
- Ensure employees, buildings and equipment meet the relevant safety requirements in terms of the OHS Act and any other relevant regulations.
- Implementation and supervision of installations, repair and troubleshooting of plumbing equipment including pipes, fixtures, drainage systems and appliances associated with heating, cooling, water distribution and sanitation cross the business unit.
- Ensure maintenance staff are on duty for every shift, and stand in to provide uninterrupted business operation where required.
- Drive the corporate culture and values across the maintenance department.
- Supervise the control of stock and operating equipment as per SOP.
- Matric (NQF 4).
- Minimum of 5 years' experience performing maintenance and Plumbing repairs.
- Recognized Trade Certificate in Plumbing and Red Seal qualification will be an advantage.
- Experience in health & safety compliance, inspections, and audits.
- Good practical supervisory skills.
- Strong people management and team coordination ability.
- Ability to allocate work, monitor productivity, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) requirements.
- Ability to compile reports, logs, and maintenance records.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- High attention to detail and sense of accountability.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies.
