We're building digital experiences that make financial services more accessible across Africa. As a UX Designer, you'll play a key role in shaping intuitive, high-impact journeys across our app and digital platforms - from onboarding to long-term engagement.

What You'll Do Design Meaningful Experiences
  • Create seamless, customer centred journeys across mobile and web.
  • Turn complex financial processes into simple, intuitive user experiences.
  • Design user flows, wireframes, and high fidelity prototypes using Figma.
Drive Product & Lifecycle Impact
  • Partner with Product, Lifecycle, and BI teams to improve onboarding, activation, and retention.
  • Identify friction points and design solutions that improve conversion and engagement.
  • Build experiences that directly influence customer behaviour and growth.
Design with Data
  • Use behavioural insights and analytics to inform design decisions.
  • Run usability testing and continuously iterate based on real user feedback.
  • Ensure designs are evidence based and performance driven.
Build & Scale Design Systems
  • Contribute to and evolve Mukuru's design system and component library.
  • Ensure consistency across iOS, Android, and web platforms.
  • Deliver clear, structured handovers to Engineering teams.
What You Bring
  • 4+ years' experience in UX design within digital product environments
  • Strong portfolio showcasing end to end product design thinking
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma (wireframing, prototyping, UI design)
  • Experience designing for mobile (iOS/Android) and web
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments
  • Experience in fintech, e commerce, or high transaction platforms (advantageous)
