Introduction

We are seeking a motivated and driven individual to join our team as a Trainee Store Manager. This role is designed to develop future Store Managers by providing comprehensive training across all store departments. Once deemed competent, the successful candidate will assume relevant management responsibilities, supporting and assisting the Store Manager in their duties and leading the store in their absence.

  • Take full ownership of your development by actively engaging in and completing the Trainee Manager programme, ensuring readiness for sign-off within 14 months.
  • Train across all store departments and demonstrate competence in each area.
  • Support the Store Manager in overseeing departments and managing overall store operations as required.
  • Attend and actively participate in all required classroom training sessions as part of the Trainee Manager programme.
  • Apply learned knowledge and skills effectively within the store environment under the guidance of the Store Manager.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating behaviours and standards aligned with company values and management expectations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining a visible presence on the shop floor and proactively engaging with customers at all times.

Job requirements

  • In possession of a matric certificate (Grade 12) with a pass in English
  • Retail and/or management experience (advantageous)
