An opportunity has become available for a Technical Sales Engineer focusing on selling field process controls and instrumentation products, maintaining client relationships, and providing technical expertise and training. Combines sales skills with strong technical knowledge in automation and process control systems. The role is located in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and grow the customer base in the assigned region while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Promote clients' extensive range of industrial and process control products through cold calling, sales meetings, technical presentations, and live product demonstrations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maximize every sales opportunity for the company.
  • Stay updated on clients existing and newly introduced products, technologies, and solutions.
  • Actively use the Bluewave CRM to plan daily activities and produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasts.
  • Prepare and submit customer quotations using the CRM system.
  • Attend bi-weekly sales meetings on Microsoft Teams and provide daily reporting to the Sales Manager.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing, Solutions, Service, and Project teams to meet customers' needs.
  • Provide technical sales support across the client's broad instrumentation portfolio.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar sales role with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Knowledge of client's products or a strong technical background in process instrumentation is highly advantageous.
  • Experience with process control instruments for measuring flow, level, pressure, moisture, humidity, and gas analysis across industries such as chemical & petrochemical, power, mining, food & beverage, paper, pulp & sugar, cement, industrial gases, and pharmaceuticals.
  • Understanding of process control applications, including manual and automated valve operations.
  • Ability to develop and execute account plans, forecasts, and call plans with determination and ownership.
  • Strong commercial acumen and results driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Previous experience with CRM systems is an advantage.
