Your responsibilities as an Engineer
  • Establish clear content authority in collaboration with the system architect/engineer, product manager and product owners to align team to the system mission and vision, road maps as well as system service ownership requirements.
  • Able to collaborate with multiple platform teams and maintain continuous integration standards
  • Develop and mature the competency of the engineering team by training/mentoring the team members.
  • Contribute specialist knowledge of technological landscape to the team
  • Direct the delivery and quality of the Technical solution
  • Drive a culture of relentless improvement
  • Influence the thinking of the Business Unit and expert influence across the Technical landscape
  • Escalation point for the management of improvement of performance and development of functional resources
  • Listen and direct teams in problem identification, root cause analysis and decision making.
  • Look actively for opportunities to short development timelines, improve skills of the teamand improve cost efficiency of application development activities.
  • Spending 30-50% of the time leading engineering practice activities across all release trains within the program.
  • Oversee the containment of Technical debt level and that re-factoring/ remediation/ simplification takes place on a regular basis.
  • Set the parameter and guide the selection of most appropriate vendor with required expertise to meet the requirements for capacity and capability building
  • Provide or make available, expert knowledge knowledge of prototype, creation, module and solution design, and development using agile methodologies and continuous testing to enable target business capabilities/ client/ employee journeys.
  • Realize technology and operations strategic objectives by driving the implementation of new and relevant Technical capabilities.
Experience & Pedigree
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent
