Technical Advisor

AECI Plant Health is seeking a suitably qualified Technical Advisor to provide highly specialised technical support to Crop Advisors and Regional Sales Managers. The role focuses on enhancing sales performance through expert knowledge of crop programmes, in-house products, training, and technical advisory services, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards. The incumbent will service the Highveld area in the Central region of South Africa.

• Provide advanced technical support and in field expertise on crop programmes and in house products.
• Develop, implement, and monitor integrated crop and spray programmes in line with label and MRL requirements.
• Deliver technical training and mentorship to Crop Advisors and Sales teams.
• Investigate and manage complex customer complaints and claims, providing technical solutions and recommendations.
• Support regional sales strategies, budgets, and targets through technical input and market engagement.
• Conduct product trials and collaborate with Portfolio Managers and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with SHEQ policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Grade 12 with a B.Agric or B.Sc Agric qualification.
• AVCASA or BASOS accreditation (or willingness to obtain both).
• Minimum of 5 years' post graduate experience in agrochemicals, agriculture, and/or plant nutrition.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and Afrikaans.
• Valid driver's licence, own reliable transport, and willingness to travel.
• Computer literacy (MS Office); sound SHEQ knowledge.
• Technical expertise and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and training capability.
• Results driven with the ability to work independently.
• High ethical standards and safety awareness.
