Lead Europe Travel Operations Elevate Exceptional Experiences

We're looking for a dynamic and detail-driven Team Manager for Europe Travel Operations to play a pivotal role in shaping how our Lifestyle and Travel Managers deliver exceptional service to our members.

This is a role where operational excellence meets people leadership-perfect for someone who thrives on improving processes, coaching others, and driving impact across a fast-paced, international environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support & Quality Assurance
    Provide QA, coaching, and day-to-day operational support to Lifestyle and Travel Managers, ensuring consistent service excellence.
  • Operational Oversight
    Manage escalations, AUX lists, crisis reporting, and cross-functional queries across European Travel operations.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, including conducting performance reviews and creating structured development plans.
  • Commercial & Compliance Management
    Oversee Swiss Card waivers, Centurion authorisations, and commercial checks, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and reporting integrity.
  • Process & Systems Improvement
    Maintain knowledge base content, identify system or workflow inefficiencies, and collaborate with Tech and Training teams to implement improvements.
  • Workforce Planning & Hiring
    Support workforce planning, role design, and cross-regional recruitment initiatives.
  • Supplier & Proposition Coordination
    Manage supplier updates, training, and market insights to ensure a competitive and relevant travel offering.
  • Reporting & Business Support
    Deliver monthly reporting, analyse trends, support risk management, and contribute to internal communications.

Experience

  • Strong background as a Senior Travel Specialist with deep exposure to European corporate/premium travel markets.
  • Leadership experience managing Travel Specialists, and multi market operations.
  • Expertise in QA, workflow management, SLA performance, crisis response, and cross functional collaboration.

Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of European travel suppliers, loyalty programmes, and CRM systems.
  • Strong grasp of commercial accuracy rules, trends, digital tools, and operational processes.

Skills

  • Fluency in German and English (written & verbal).
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive improvements.
  • Resilient, organised, detail oriented, and confident handling complex escalations.
  • GDS certification (Amadeus/Galileo/Sabre) advantageous.
  • Professional development in leadership/travel operations beneficial.

  • Valid work authorization that permits you to live and work in South Africa

Guidelines for Hybrid/Home Office:

  • We are ideally seeking exceptional candidates to be based in Cape Town
  • Please note that you will be asked to enter into a hybrid working arrangement - at least 2x a week in the office.
  • A secure home office at your confirmed address, free from background noise or other distractions.
  • You must meet our minimum internet speeds if you want to work in our hybrid model and this will be checked during the recruitment process and again when you join. We also have a great office that you can work from as an alternative.
