A well-established wine distribution company based in Somerset West is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Supply Chain and Operations Manager to lead bonded warehousing, distribution, and international trade operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and strong financial control across local and export supply chains. This role offers the opportunity to play a strategic and hands-on leadership role within a respected wine distribution business, supporting operational excellence and international growth.

• Oversee Customs-controlled (bonded) warehousing facilities, ensuring full compliance with SARS excise, VAT, and duty regulations
• Maintain accurate and auditable records to support VAT and duty deferment and SARS reporting
• Manage the excise-and-link process between production, bonded storage, and distribution
• Control the secure movement of duty-suspended goods for local and export markets
• Manage annual freight and logistics budgets
• Develop and maintain Landed Cost Calculators (LCCs) to support pricing and margin analysis
• Implement strong budgetary controls to improve cost efficiency and profitability

• Oversee export and duty-free processes, ensuring correct application of Incoterms
• Manage logistics for new market entries in collaboration with freight forwarders and regulatory bodies

• Implement technology solutions to monitor product quality during transit and storage
• Maintain a strong culture of Health & Safety and operational compliance
• Partner with Sales and Brand Managers on stock forecasting and par-level management
• Ensure supply chain execution consistently meets customer and market commitments

• Proven experience in supply chain and operations management, ideally within wine, FMCG, or regulated environments
• International export experience required
• Strong knowledge of bonded warehousing and SARS excise compliance
• Sound financial and commercial acumen
• Experience managing exports and international logistics
