First Officer - Fleet Assignment by Seniority (NTR, Training Provided)

Join as a professional First Officer operating in a multi crew environment across domestic and international routes. Aircraft are assigned by seniority, and no type rating is required - comprehensive training is provided. You will uphold the highest safety, compliance, and operational standards in alignment with CAA, ICAO, IATA, FAA, and EASA requirements.

• Total time: 1500 hours
• Multi engine: 200 hours
• License required: Frozen ATPL with MEIR (SACAA)
• Medical: Class 1
• ICAO English: Level 4 minimum
• Passport: Valid, for international operations

A valid ATPL with multi engine instrument rating must be obtained within 4 years from the date of employment with SAA.

SAQA accredited schooling or tertiary studies with the following:

• Minimum: Matric Certificate / Grade 12 results / N3 or relevant tertiary qualification (SAQA accredited)
• Compulsory subjects: Mathematics or Statistics 101, and English (D symbol on higher grade or C symbol on standard grade)
• Plus one of: Physical Science or Computer Science (D symbol on higher grade or C symbol on standard grade)

• Proven application of safety standards and safe operating practices
• Detailed knowledge of national and international aviation regulations (CAA, ICAO, IATA, FAA, EASA)
• Strong understanding of international travel, customs and practices
• Knowledge of legal regulations for the piloting/aviation profession within South African and international environments
• Business communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work under pressure; organisational resilience with a change management focus
