Job Purpose

To safely and efficiently transport goods to designated locations while ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations, company policies, and delivery standards. The role requires reliability, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport goods safely and efficiently to designated delivery locations
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
  • Adhere to road safety regulations and company procedures at all times
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logbooks, and records
  • Assist with loading and offloading of goods when required
  • Report any vehicle defects, incidents, or delays promptly
  • Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries
  • Ensure cargo is properly secured to prevent damage or loss

Minimum Requirements
  • Valid Code 14 driver's licence with a valid PDP
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience driving heavy duty vehicles
  • Proven experience in the logistics or transport industry
  • Good knowledge of local and long distance routes
  • Clear criminal record
  • Good health and sober habits
  • Matric certificate or equivalent qualification
