We're on the hunt for a Retail Manager to lead the charge at our two Queenstown locations - our brand store and our outlet. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a key leadership role, drive performance, and help shape the future of our retail experience.

To help us achieve this, we're on the hunt for a Store Manager to lead our retail team in our New Brand Store in Britomart.

What You'll Do

As our Retail Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of retail across both stores, making sure each location hits its goals while delivering an incredible experience for every customer. Working closely with the National Retail Manager and our global team, you'll drive sales, build community connections and cultivate a customer first culture.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high performing team to exceed KPIs and sales targets, expectation to lead from the floor 75% of the time at both locations.
  • Deliver an exceptional in store experience that aligns with the Mons Royale brand and values.
  • Manage store operations, including stock control and pricing, cash handling, security, and visual merchandising.
  • Bring the brand to life through local activations, events, and partnerships.
  • Champion in store training to grow product knowledge and sales confidence.
  • Keep stores compliant, safe, and aligned with company standards.
  • Act as the key link between stores and HQ - sharing insights, ideas, and opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a senior retail leadership role with a track record of driving sales and leading a team.
  • Driven by sales targets and KPI's.
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to think on your feet in a fast moving environment.
  • Passion for sustainability, outdoor sports, and the Mons Royale brand mission.
  • Solid understanding of retail operations, including POS systems, stock management, and customer service best practices.
  • A proactive, hands on approach with the ability to build an inclusive and motivated team culture.
  • An experienced retail leader, ideally with multi site or high volume experience.
