Our Client is expanding its Sports & Events division and we're looking for a seasoned Sports Travel Specialist with proven experience managing Rugby groups. If you thrive in high energy environments, love the rhythm of major sporting events, and bring precision to every itinerary, this role is built for you.

What You'll Do

You'll design, quote, and manage both inbound and outbound travel experiences for B2B and B2C clients - with a strong focus on rugby related travel. Your work will shape unforgettable journeys for supporters, teams, partners, and corporate groups.

Core Responsibilities

Travel Design & Reservations
  • Assess client and agent needs, including special interests, accessibility requirements, and budget.
  • Prepare accurate quotations within agreed turnaround times.
  • Manage reservations across accommodation, transport, activities, and event services.
  • Confirm services with suppliers and maintain proactive communication with clients/agents.
  • Use Tourplan for file loading, balancing, invoicing, and reconciliation.
  • Apply basic WETU updates and amendments.
  • Manage flight bookings via Amadeus (if qualified), direct airline channels, or approved suppliers.
Client Care
  • Maintain contact with travellers during their journey.
  • Handle complaints professionally and elevate when required.
  • Gather feedback from clients and travel trade partners.
  • Deliver service that consistently exceeds expectations.
Documentation & Itinerary Management
  • Build clear, accurate itineraries and travel packs (digital or physical).
  • Prepare vouchers, rooming lists, and all required documentation.
  • Maintain organised, compliant filing aligned with Company standards.
Financial Accuracy
  • Invoice clients timeously and ensure all services are billed correctly.
  • Reconcile Tourplan files by month end of travel.
  • Manage margins, explain variances, and ensure payment conditions are met.
  • Liaise with Finance on queries and pre payments.
What You Bring

Qualifications & Experience

  • Matric (required)
  • Sports related qualification (advantageous)
  • Senior level experience working with Rugby groups - essential
  • Strong operational background in travel, events, or sports tourism
