Software Engineering Internship

We are looking for highly motivated and hard-working Frontend and Backend Software Engineering interns to join our Open-Source Digital Banking project. BH Partners is a fast-growing tech startup, with considerable backing from Rand Merchant Investment Holdings and AlphaCode. We are on a mission to build a Digital Bank for informal savings groups across Southern Africa. The digital bank already has users thanks to SaveActYou will be joining a team of highly experienced start-up tech founders, who have an extensive background in the FinTech space. We are a passionate and supportive team. Get ready to experience intense learning and growth. You will also be mentored by Loyiso Gogwana, who built the ABSA Pan African Payment Gateway and Standard Bank's eTrading Platform. The selected individuals will be working with our Engineering team to build on our existing product as we continue to scale across South Africa. You will be responsible for helping the team build parts of the application for the informal community savings groups. You will get a good taste of how industry-standard code looks and how to write code that passes quality automated assurance tests and code reviews. This is a full-time internship role. For those based in Johannesburg, you can work from our office in Rivonia, Johannesburg (A travel stipend will be provided and coffee is on us (: ).
