Social Worker - Residential Social Services

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Residential Social Services team. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the emotional, psychological and social wellbeing of residents and, where appropriate, their families. The role involves close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of holistic care.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide ongoing casework and support to residents
  • Develop, implement and review individual care, support and intervention plans
  • Facilitate family communication, meetings and case discussions
  • Provide counselling and crisis intervention when required
  • Coordinate referrals to specialised services
  • Facilitate therapeutic and support groups
  • Maintain accurate records, reports and statistics
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and care planning
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders
  • Engage with external regulatory bodies such as the Department of Social Development (DSD) and Department of Health (DOH) where required
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, organisational policies and professional ethical standards
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work
  • Current registration with SACSSP
  • 2-3 years' relevant experience
