Our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join the Cape Town,

  • Supervise daily on-site construction activities
  • Coordinate subcontractors, artisans, and general labour teams.
  • Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
  • Allocate tasks and monitor productivity
  • Enforce compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Construction Regulations
  • Conduct toolbox talks and daily safety briefings.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE on site.
  • Report and investigate incidents and near-misses.
  • Monitor workmanship to ensure compliance with SANS standards and project specifications.
  • Identify and rectify defects promptly.
  • Liaise with engineers and inspectors regarding quality issues.
  • Monitor material usage and prevent wastage.
  • Check deliveries against orders and specifications.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and used properly.
  • Maintain daily site diaries and progress reports.
  • Record labour attendance and timesheets.
  • Provide regular progress updates to Site/Project Manager.
  • Assist with planning and scheduling activities.
Requirements
  • Trade Certificate / qualification in Construction or related field
  • 5-10 years' construction experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in a supervisory/foreman role.
  • Experience in commercial and industrial projects
