We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Short-Term Advisor to join our team. The Short-Term Advisor will be responsible for managing and expanding our client base in a sustainable and profitable, and ethical manner.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Client liaisons and advisory responsibilities
    • To provide risk management and short term insurance advice to a selected portfolio of existing clients.
    • To prospect new clients to grow the insurance portfolio and to achieve contracted targets.
    • To provide appropriate short-term insurance and risk management advice through a client SLA.
    • To provide exceptional service, enhancing the clients' experience of Origin, with a focus on client retention.
    • To liaise with and follow the advice and instruction of the appointed Line Manager in respect of projects, goals, retention and maintenance of clients, in order to drive income-generation and to grow the portfolio.
    • Generate new business by referrals and "cross-selling" for the different entities within the Origin group, i.e. Trust, Wills, Tax and Accounting and Life and Investment.
    • To manage and maintain the selected client portfolio by managing client relations, assisting in claims, renewal of client's policies and general client-queries, within reasonable timelines.
    • Oversee and manage quotations, policy activations and amendments.
  • Internal company and administrative responsibilities
    • To follow company policies and procedures in respect of strategic marketing drives, marketing projects, internal marketing strategies, whilst observing the relevant customer segmentation model.
    • To observe and adhere to company policies, procedures and work flow processes in respect of operational matters such as:
    • Usage of company approved documentation.
    • Observing the Company Policy in respect of Advance Customer Experience.
    • Observe and adhere to administrative guidelines and procedures in respect of administrative- and claims functionality.
    • Observe and adhere to procedures and requirements of compliance.
    • Support the company "house view" model.
    • To aid administrative- and claims teams when required in order to provide exceptional service to clients.
    • To liaise with Line Manager in respect of engaging in training programs relating to product specific training, class of business training and specific requirements in respect of CPD points as required and to take responsibility of complying with regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting and feedback responsibilities
    • To report to Line Manager on regular appointed times in respect of goal management, renewals, marketing projects and strategic marketing drives.
    • To attend and participate in Advisor Meetings as determined from time to time.
  • Line Management and Reporting
    • Advisor to report to the Line Manager (Executive Advisor) as appointed.
    • Advisor forms an integral part of the Advisory Team.
    • Advisor contribution at Advisor Meeting.
Requirements
  • Registered as Representative of related FSP.
  • FAIS legislature requirement, which include, but not limited to: RE1 and RE5.
  • Responsible to meet the CPD requirements.
  • Continue to meet all Fit and Proper requirements as per the latest legislation.
