Shop Specialist

As a Shop Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the onboard retail shop and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our guests. You will work closely with the onboard retail manager to maintain inventory levels, create attractive displays, and provide exceptional customer service to guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of the onboard retail shop, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and cash handling
  • Create visually appealing displays and merchandise the shop to maximize sales potential
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, assisting with product inquiries and purchases
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely restocking of merchandise
  • Collaborate with the onboard retail manager to develop and implement sales strategies to meet targets
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions
  • Train and supervise shop assistants to ensure high-quality customer service and adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Assist with the receiving and storage of new merchandise shipments
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop, ensuring a safe and enjoyable shopping environment for guests
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as safety and security protocols
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous retail experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, outgoing personality
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in basic math and cash handling
  • Knowledge of inventory management and visual merchandising techniques
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary travel documents
