SHEQ Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all SHEQ functions to ensure full compliance with legislative, client, and company requirements.

• Construction company

• Professional registration (e.g., SACPCMP or equivalent) essential
• Minimum 6+ years' experience in a senior SHEQ role on large infrastructure or road construction projects
• Experience on SANRAL or national roads projects advantageous
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 systems

Degree or National Diploma in Safety Management / Environmental Management / Quality Management or related field

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project SHEQ Management System
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Ensure compliance with National Environmental Management Act
• Ensure compliance with National Environmental Management: Waste Act
• Ensure compliance with Applicable SANRAL and contract specifications
• Lead risk assessments, HIRA processes, and method statement approvals
• Oversee environmental compliance and EMPr implementation
• Manage quality control systems in line with contract standards
• Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits
• Investigate incidents and ensure corrective and preventive actions
• Compile monthly SHEQ reports for Project Management and Client
• Lead SHEQ training, inductions, and toolbox talks
• Manage SHEQ Officers and site compliance teams
