Job Description

Purpose of the Role

To support the SHE department in implementing and maintaining effective health, safety, and environmental management systems, while gaining practical experience in administration and SHE systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with SHE administrative duties
  • Capture and update data on SHE systems
  • Maintain records, registers, and compliance documentation
  • Assist with compilation and maintenance of Safety Files
  • Assist with risk assessments and hazard identification
  • Support incident investigations and reporting
  • Participate in safety audits, inspections, and compliance checks
  • Coordinate SHE trainings and inductions
  • Coordinate and update legal appointments
  • Compile SHE statistics, reports, and dashboards using Excel
  • Track corrective actions and update action registers
Minimum Requirements
  • Diploma / Degree in:
    • Safety Management
    • Occupational Health & Safety
    • Environmental Management / Science
    • Risk Management
    • SAMTRAC qualification (advantageous)
  • Basic knowledge of SHE systems and processes
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop in the SHE field
