About this Position

Identify applicable SHE legal and other requirements, and continuously evaluate compliance across operations

What You'll Do
  • Identify applicable SHE legal and other requirements, and continuously evaluate compliance across operations
  • Ensure all internal policies are aligned with legislative requirements, as well as Henkel Corporate and Regional standards and relevant best practices
  • Ensure Hazard Identification and Environmental Aspects Identification, as well as Risk Assessment and Environmental Impact Assessment processes, are conducted and maintained up to date
  • Ensure all equipment used on site is performance tested and verified against an up-to-date equipment register, in accordance with the required frequencies stipulated in applicable legislation
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory equipment requirements and investigate root causes for any deviations or non conformances
  • Ensure all required legal appointments are established, updated, and valid at all times
  • Identify, monitor, and escalation risks related to non compliance with SHE legislation and company policies, as required

  • FORMAL EDUCATION - Minimum qualification: Diploma in Safety Management, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Management (NQF Level 6)
  • TECHNICAL/ LEGAL CERTIFICATION:
    • Legal Liability training
    • Construction Regulations training/competency
    • ISO Standards competency - ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other relevant industry SHE regulations and requirements
  • EXPERIENCE - Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Chemical Manufacturing industry
