SGS, a global leader in inspection, verification, testing, and certification, offers a 12 month paid experiential learning opportunity in reporting and administration based in Pretoria, Gauteng.

What Is the SGS YES Program

The YES Program (Youth Employment Service) is a South African government backed initiative that provides unemployed young people with their first meaningful work experience. Interns are placed in a 12 month internship within the administration and reporting environment at SGS in Pretoria, working alongside professionals, handling real responsibilities, and building skills sought by employers.

What You Will Do in This Role
  • Work with Microsoft Excel to create, format, and develop analytical spreadsheets
  • Research and use AI tools and programs relevant to your tasks
  • Analyse and summarise information to support decision making
  • Communicate professionally in writing and verbally
  • Maintain confidentiality across all tasks and documentation
  • Complete assignments with personal accountability and a results driven mindset
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

Qualifications needed:

  • Grade 12 or Matric certificate
  • A National Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
  • A qualification or short course in Data Analytics will be an added advantage

Eligibility criteria:

  • Must be a South African citizen with a valid South African ID document
  • Must be between the ages of 18 and 33
  • Must be currently unemployed
  • Must not have participated in a YES Program before
  • Must have a clean criminal record
  • Must be willing to relocate to Pretoria, Gauteng
