About Our Client

Our Client operates a busy, high-volume fuel service station with a convenience store and coffee outlet. They are seeking an experienced Site Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations, staff management, stock control, safety compliance, and financial performance of the site.

This role suits a hands on retail manager who thrives in fast paced environments such as fuel stations, FMCG retail, forecourt operations, or convenience retail.

The Role

As the Site Manager, you will oversee the complete operation of the fuel forecourt, convenience store, and coffee outlet, ensuring the site runs efficiently, safely, and profitably while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will be responsible for operations management, team leadership, fuel and retail stock control, cash management, sales performance, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of the fuel forecourt, convenience store, and coffee outlet
  • Supervise, schedule, train, and performance manage fuel attendants, cashiers, and cafĂ© staff
  • Oversee fuel stock, retail inventory control, ordering, and reconciliations
  • Manage daily cash-ups, POS systems, and financial reporting
  • Drive sales through merchandising, promotions, and customer service excellence
  • Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, environmental, and legal regulations (HSSE)
  • Maintain site cleanliness, maintenance, freezer temperatures, and overall presentation
  • Handle customer queries and resolve complaints professionally
  • Engage with suppliers and attend regional meetings
  • Open and close the site and complete daily manager security checks
Minimum Requirements
  • Matric
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in fuel retail, forecourt management, FMCG retail, or high-volume retail operations
  • Proven experience managing staff in a retail or service environment
  • Strong experience in stock control, fuel management, and cash reconciliations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, POS, and inventory systems
