Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Service Manager to oversee our Hygiene and Pest Control operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing service teams, ensuring high service standards, maintaining client relationships, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee daily operations of Hygiene and Pest Control service teams.
  • Supervise and support supervisors, technicians, and service staff.
  • Ensure service delivery meets company standards and client expectations.
  • Monitor productivity, route planning, scheduling, and staff performance.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and quality audits.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety requirements and company procedures.
  • Handle client queries, complaints, and service escalations professionally.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Manage stock, equipment, chemicals, and service resources effectively.
  • Ensure accurate reporting, timesheets, service records, and administration.
  • Train, coach, and develop employees to improve performance and service standards.
  • Work closely with management to achieve operational and financial targets
  • Managing service schedules and operational performance
  • Conducting toolbox talks and staff meetings
  • Monitoring SLA compliance and KPIs
  • Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions
  • Ensuring staff adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Supporting business retention and client satisfaction initiatives
Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Relevant qualification in Operations Management, Hygiene, Pest Control, Facilities Management, or related field will be advantageous.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' management experience within Hygiene, Cleaning, Pest Control, Facilities Management, or related service industry.
  • Previous experience managing field-based service teams.
  • Knowledge of pest control and hygiene industry standards and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent client service and communication skills.
  • Good administrative and reporting abilities.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office).
  • Valid driver's licence, own car and willingness to travel between sites
