Senior Specialist HTA
Job Description
Position Purpose: The Senior Specialist: HTA leads and conducts comprehensive assessments of new and existing health technologies to inform evidence based benefit and policy decisions. The role evaluates clinical effectiveness, cost effectiveness, safety, and budget impact, while supporting HTA Specialists and contributing to benefit design and policy development.
- 3-8+ years' experience in HTA, evidence synthesis, health economics, or managed care.
- Experience evaluating medicines, devices, or clinical interventions; familiarity with HTA frameworks.
- Experience with regulatory submissions, reimbursement models, or formularies. (Advantageous)
- Conduct full and rapid HTAs using systematic, evidence based methods.
- Evaluate clinical trials, guidelines, real world data, economic models, and regulatory submissions.
- Produce HTA reports and recommendations for governance committees.
- Conduct literature reviews, horizon scanning, and critical evidence appraisal.
- Translate HTA findings into coverage criteria, formulary updates, and benefit recommendations.
- Present findings to governance forums and ensure documentation meets audit and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with clinical, actuarial, analytical, and provider teams, support appeals and regulatory queries.
- Track HTA workload, monitor post adoption outcomes, and identify trends or cost drivers.
