Job Description

Our client is looking to recruit a senior member of its Planning team to co ordinate production scheduling, ensure compliance to customer delivery deadlines, work across production teams and represent the planning team at a managerial level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dealing with production teams to ensure scheduling plans are met
  • Full awareness of production status at all times across all manufacturing areas and at outworkers, taking corrective action where necessary to ensure delivery deadlines are achieved
  • Maintain communications with Outworkers, Customer Service and Operations to react and be proactive in changes to production
  • Liaising and meeting with internal customers, outworkers and suppliers and occasionally with external customers
  • Provide essential support to the Planning Manager and Operations Management Teams
  • Deputise for the Planning Manager during holidays and other absence, including representation at senior level and managing the team of Production Planners
  • Attend daily and other production related meetings
  • Be part of cross department projects to improve processes and procedures
  • Ensure there are Standard Operating procedures in place for the role
Person Specification
  • Customer focused
  • Well presented, demonstrating high levels of professionalism and commitment
  • Proficient communicator, both verbal and written
  • High competence for dealing with detail
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to deal with change and work under pressure
  • Able to provide out of hours support to Production by being prepared to take calls on a mobile and log onto schedule via company laptop to make scheduling changes
  • Able to work weekends as part of weekend cover rota
