Faircape Health Somerset West Allied Practice 6-Month Contract (with potential for extension)

Faircape Health is seeking an experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join our allied practice based in Somerset West, affiliated with our Heritage Manor healthcare facility.

This role is suited to a clinically strong individual who enjoys working within a structured, multidisciplinary rehabilitation environment, while contributing to the continued growth and stability of a well-established practice.

Our healthcare division operates world-class sub-acute and long-term care facilities across the Western Cape, with a strong focus on rehabilitation, patient outcomes, and coordinated care. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with an experienced Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), supporting patients as they transition from hospital to home within a supportive and well-resourced setting.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality physiotherapy services, primarily within a rehabilitation-focused clinical environment, while contributing to the overall functioning of the practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans aligned to rehabilitation goals
  • Work closely with the Multidisciplinary Team including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in interdisciplinary discussions to support coordinated patient care
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
  • Provide patient and family education on rehabilitation and ongoing care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation
  • Contribute to a structured and well-functioning clinical environment
  • Support general practice operations where required, within a well-supported team structure
  • Engage with referring healthcare professionals as part of ongoing patient care
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physiotherapy
  • HPCSA registered and in good standing
  • Valid medical malpractice insurance
Experience & Knowledge
  • 7-10 years' relevant physiotherapy experience
  • Strong rehabilitation experience (essential)
  • Experience within private practice or structured clinical environments
  • Experience in sub-acute or multidisciplinary settings advantageous
  • Exposure to team coordination or mentorship advantageous

Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 17:00 (45-minute lunch break)
  • One weekend per month (as required)
