The Senior OrganizationalChange Manager will lead the people-change workstream for a large scaleCybersecurity Operational Technology (OT) transformation within a majorchemical and energy company in South Africa. The role is responsible forensuring that employees, leaders, and operational teams successfully adopt newcybersecurity processes, technologies, and behaviours required to protectcritical OT environments. The position combines deep change managementexpertise with an understanding of industrial operations, cybersecurityimpacts, and large enterprise transformation.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement acomprehensive change management strategy and plan for the Cybersecurity OTprogram.
- Conduct change impactassessments to understand how new cybersecurity controls, tools, and processesaffect various stakeholder groups across operations, engineering, and supportfunctions.
- Lead stakeholderengagement, including identification, analysis, and ongoing relationshipmanagement with site leadership, operational managers, and frontline teams.
- Design and executecommunication plans to position the program, reinforce behavioural change, andbuild alignment across the organisation.
- Develop training andcapability building strategies in collaboration with cybersecurity and OTsubject matter experts.
- Support adoption of new OTcybersecurity policies, standards, and operating procedures.
- Monitor change readinessand adoption through assessments, feedback channels, and performance metrics.
- Identify change risks anddevelop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth transition and minimaldisruption to operations.
- Facilitate workshops,briefings, and engagement sessions with various levels of the organisation.
- Provide coaching andguidance to project leads and business managers on effective change leadership.
- Ensure all changeactivities align with broader enterprise transformation frameworks andcompliance requirements.

- Experience deliveringchange across large transformation programs with multiple workstreams.
- Ability to translatetechnical or cybersecurity content into clear, accessible messages for non technicalaudiences.
- Strong analytical, problem solving,and planning capabilities.
- Adaptability andresilience, particularly in operational or unionized environments.
- Experience working inenergy, chemicals, mining, or other heavy industry sectors is a strongadvantage.
- Understanding of OTenvironments, plant operations, or industrial control systems, and howcybersecurity changes impact those spaces.
- Knowledge of cybersecurityconcepts related to risk, controls, governance, and incident response (deeptechnical expertise is not required but is beneficial).
- Ability to work with seniorleadership and influence decisions without direct authority.
- Strong communication,facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Prosci Change ManagementCertification (highly recommended).
- CMI or ACMP change managementcredentials (optional but beneficial).
- Cybersecurity relatedawareness certifications such as CISSP or CISM are not required but afoundational cybersecurity certification or short course can be advantageous.
