Senior Manager, Practice Innovation

Job Description

The Senior Manager, Practice Innovation will support the Chief Innovation Officer and the broader Practice Innovation team in delivering the Firm's AI strategy.

The role holder will support and enable strategic projects and initiatives identified by Firm and practice group leadership.

Main responsibilities: Training:
  • Support the rollout of AI training across all levels of our lawyer population
  • Lead the development of training content and shape delivery approaches
  • Work closely with other members of the Practice Innovation team, as well as our external training partner to deliver impact
  • Attend training sessions and facilitate as needed
  • Share learnings and feedback to improve future training sessions
General:
  • Support other priority innovation projects as needed
  • Share insights and best practice
  • Act as a connector across teams to create alignment
  • Identify opportunities where technology and process improvement can transform how projects are delivered and map new ways of working
Skills and experience:
  • Experience in innovation within a law firm
  • Experience with AI, including personal use
  • Experience in broad process improvement and project management, or direct legal practice experience combined with an interest in alternative ways of working
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proactive, self directed, and delivery focused
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and novel problems
  • Curious, adaptable, and motivated to learn new ways of working
  • A flexible mindset, with openness to trying new approaches to problem solving
  • Strong change management skills, with the ability to support change delivery across a broad range of stakeholders, from skeptics to enthusiastic early adopters.
  • Empathetic and thoughtful when working with a diverse group of stakeholders, with the ability to navigate and manage competing stakeholder interest
