WE'RE HIRING: Senior Hospitality Manager (OWNER-LEVEL)
Our Cape Joy team is looking for an experienced candidate with a hands on GM to run our luxury guest house and routine management of casual dining and bar operations like it's your own. This role requires someone who can take full control of standards, staff, stock, service, and profitability without constant supervision. Full time position that requires early starts and weekend work.
This is a managerial role where you will be responsible for the operations, sales growth, stock and people.
Requirements- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related field is a plus
- Experience in restaurant operations essential
- Minimum 7-10 years of General Manager experience in luxury hospitality, boutique hotels, guest houses, or high end restaurants (traceable references required)
- Proven experience managing both accommodation/lodging and food & beverage/bar operations simultaneously
- Demonstrated track record of running an establishment independently, with minimal oversight
- Experience managing casual daily food service and bar operations including opening/closing procedures, service standards, and team scheduling
You must be able to:
- Lead with authority and consistency (firm, fair, and decisive)
- Enforce strict rules and performance standards daily
- Run tight stock control (ordering, receiving, FIFO, portioning, stock take, variance according to weekly budgets)
- Make the numbers work (GP, labour %, waste, controls, cash up/POS integrity)
- Drive turnover with marketing and sales initiatives (promos, bundles, local partnerships, social media execution and advertisement)
- Take action on repeated poor performance and misconduct (including termination where justified and lawful)
