Job Purpose:
Seigo Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer (Water) to lead and manage water infrastructure projects in the Johannesburg region. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and proven experience in water and wastewater systems. The candidate must be registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng).
Lead and manage the planning, design, and execution of water infrastructure projects, including water supply, wastewater treatment, and stormwater management.
Oversee engineering teams, sub-consultants, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
Perform technical reviews and approve design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Ensure compliance with national and local legislation, design codes, and industry best practices.
Prepare project proposals, reports, and technical documentation for clients and stakeholders.
Conduct site visits, inspections, and progress reviews to monitor construction activities.
Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff.
Liaise with clients, government bodies, and regulatory authorities.
Support business development by identifying new opportunities and contributing to tenders and proposals.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BEng or equivalent). A Master's Degree in Water Engineering or related field is advantageous.
Professional Registration: Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) - mandatory.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years' experience in civil engineering, with at least 5 years in water-related projects (e.g., bulk water supply, pipelines, treatment works).
Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion.
Software Proficiency: Proficient in design and analysis software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, EPANET, WaterCAD, and MS Project.
Drivers Licence: Valid South African driver's license and own transport.
Location: Based in Johannesburg or willing to relocate at own cost.
