Our client is seeking an Semi-Skilled Diesel Mechanic to join the Markman, Port Elizabeth team,

Responsibilities
  • Assist in servicing and repairing dieselengines on trucks and trailers
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oilchanges, filter replacements, lubrication, and brake inspections.
  • Assist with engine overhauls, gearboxrepairs, clutch replacements, and differential work.
  • Conduct fault finding under supervision usingdiagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Inspect vehicles and equipment to identifymechanical and electrical issues
  • Replace worn or damaged parts includingbelts, hoses, brake components, and batteries
  • Maintain accurate job cards and maintenancerecords.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Healthand Safety (OHS) standards
  • Keep work area clean and organized accordingto company policies.
  • Provide breakdown assistance when required.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years' experience in a diesel workshop orfleet environment (horse & trailer)
  • Basic knowledge of diesel engines,hydraulics, and auto electrical systems.
