Overview

We are seeking a skilled Second Engineer to join our team in the Shipping - General Cargo fleet. As a Second Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our vessels. We are interested in candidates with a strong background in marine engineering.

Responsibilities

Assist the Chief Engineer in overseeing the technical operations of the vessel.
Perform maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Supervise and train engine room personnel.
Contribute to the overall efficiency and performance of the vessel.

Qualifications

Valid applicable Certificate of Competence (STCW III/2 or III/3; Second Engineer)
Valid STCW Training Certificates
Valid Seafarer Medical Certificate
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
Proficient in maintaining and repairing ship engines and equipment
Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Excellent English communication skills
Excellent problem-solving abilities
