A well-established company in the food manufacturing industry, specialising in providing top-tier services to the hospitality and catering sector, including hotels and coffee shop chains, is seeking a dynamic, motivated individual to join their team as a Sales Assistant.

This full-time position working Mon Fri offers micro flexible working hours. Please note that you will eventually be working client facing resulting in visiting clients at their premises.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to break into sales within the catering and hospitality industry, with extensive training and mentorship provided by the Sales Director.

This role is ideal for someone who is keen to learn the ins and outs of the sales process, from order taking and invoicing to client interaction and prospecting.

You will be groomed to take on key responsibilities within the sales team, ultimately representing the company at client meetings and helping to drive business growth.

Responsibilities
  • Learn the Sales Cycle: Get a thorough understanding of the sales process within the company, including how orders are taken, invoicing is managed, and the overall flow from initial contact to client retention.
  • Telesales & Order Management: Engage in telesales, calling both new and existing clients, taking orders, and managing invoicing responsibilities.
  • Client Engagement: Shadow and eventually meet clients on behalf of the Sales Director and Sales Manager. Train to represent the company professionally and build strong relationships with clients.
  • Prospecting: Learn to identify and pursue new prospective clients in key sectors, particularly within the hospitality industry (hotels, coffee shop groups, office catering, etc.).
  • Sales Mentorship: Receive hands on mentorship from the Sales Director and Sales Manager, learning the A Z of sales and client management.
Requirements
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills are essential for interacting with clients, both over the phone and face to face.
  • Positive Attitude: A great attitude is essential for success in this role. Specifically looking for someone who is open to learning, guided mentorship, and feedback. Your willingness to embrace the training process is key to long term success.
  • Adaptability: The ideal candidate will be comfortable in both professional and informal settings when engaging with clients, able to switch gears depending on the situation.
  • Transport: Candidates must have their own transport to travel to client sites. A fair AA related reimbursement rate will be provided for work related travel.
