Sales and Fulfillment Specialist
Job Description
An entity providing innovative educational solutions is recruiting a full-time remote Sales Specialist to drive predictable revenue growth across its STEM product portfolio. Working EST hours (2pm - 10pm South African Time)
This role combines outbound inside sales, inbound enquiry management, customer support and product fulfilment, ensuring a seamless customer journey from initial contact through to delivery. The successful candidate will manage a high-activity sales pipeline, support cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing and Operations, and develop deep expertise in the organisation's STEM product offerings.
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Leader, this position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can balance revenue generation with operational efficiency and customer experience excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Drive consistent product revenue by managing inbound demand, executing high-activity outbound campaigns, and ensuring fast, accurate order fulfillment.
- Conduct outbound prospecting to schools, districts and agencies
- Execute targeted email and LinkedIn outreach campaigns
- Follow up on inbound leads and enquiries
- Schedule and lead virtual product demonstrations and webinars
- Prepare quotes and provide tailored product recommendations
- Manage opportunities, activities and notes within the CRM
- Achieve quarterly and annual product revenue targets
- Execute segmented outbound campaigns by industry or programme focus
- Work through assigned campaign lists systematically
- Follow defined sales cadences and messaging frameworks
- Provide feedback on campaign performance to Sales & Marketing leadership
- Manage and track all product-related leads
- Respond to inbound enquiries within 24 hours
- Convert qualified leads into quotes and confirmed orders
- Respond to product enquiries promptly and professionally
- Manage procurement lists, compliance documentation and order processing
- Prepare estimates and process customer orders
- Coordinate fulfilment with vendors
- Track deliveries and provide proactive customer updates
- Confirm delivery and gather post-sale feedback
- Maintain accurate CRM records for customers and fulfilment
- Issue invoices and monitor payment tracking
- Develop in-depth knowledge of STEM product offerings
- Stay informed on product updates and industry trends
- Recommend appropriate solutions based on customer needs
- Support development of product proposals
- Update product descriptions and information on the webstore
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on campaigns and messaging
- Assist in creating product videos and content
- Research and identify potential new vendors and product opportunities
- Manage the full vendor onboarding process
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an excellent customer service mindset.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks while following structured processes.
- Proactive, self-motivated and resourceful, with confidence in outbound sales activity and consistent follow-up.
- Strong problem-solving ability, including effectively addressing delivery issues and customer concerns.
- Minimum of 2+ years' experience in internal sales, customer success or sales support, with exposure to customer service and product fulfilment processes.
- Experience working with a CRM system (preferred) and proficiency in Google Workspace.
- Experience within the EdTech, STEM or K-12 education markets.
- Familiarity with quoting systems (QBO preferred) and procurement processes.
- Experience supporting virtual demonstrations or webinars.
